Sarah Riley creates art with an innate narrative, filled with imagery of legends and lore from ages past, as well as timeless and contemporary dreams. Riley is inspired and influenced by the human form and nature, both being incredibly diverse and deeply spiritual.
Her portraits consist both of faces that she has imagined and people whom she admires for their artistic endeavors and overall significance in her life and in this world. When Riley creates a portrait of someone, she strives not only to capture a physical likeness, but to also incorporate elements of the subject's personality and demeanor; it proves a unique challenge every time and she absolutely loves it.
Roger Nielsen is the June artist of the month. Join us for his opening on Thursday, June 1st from 5 - 7pm. We’ll provide desserts and refreshments! Roger will be showing new work inspired by a recent trip to Brazil.
